| Updated: With Buffalo Blitz, Playtech returns to the vast prairies of North America, where herds of buffalo once roamed freely. The slot has 6 reels and 4 rows, giving players the chance to form up to 4096 winning combinations. Players can enjoy up to 100 free spins, an all-ways payout structure, and wild multipliers worth up to 5x.
Paytable and Payouts
The six reels in Buffalo Blitz are set against a backdrop of dark skies over a vast grassy plain, with mountain ridges looming in the distance. The paytable features five theme-related symbols, all represented by animals native to North America.
Players receive a payout when they land two to six identical animals from left to right on adjacent reels. The buffalo, for which the slot is named, is the highest-paying symbol, offering prizes ranging from 40x to 300x depending on how many matching symbols land. Buffalo symbols can also appear stacked in all four positions on a reel, further improving the chances of landing a winning combination.
The game awards 250 credits for a six-of-a-kind combination featuring the mountain lion or raccoon. At the lower end, two matching symbols of either animal pay 15 credits. Six bear or six moose symbols can add up to 200 credits to your bankroll. Card ranks 9 through Ace act as the low-value symbols, yielding payouts of 10 to 150 credits. You need at least three matching low-value symbols to win.
Extra Features and Symbols of Interest
The shiny blue diamond symbol is the wild, substituting for every symbol except the scatter. The wild diamond can appear only on reels 2 through 6. During free spins, it also carries a multiplier that can boost winnings by 2x, 3x, or 5x.
Buffalo Blitz also features a scatter icon that reads “Free Games.” This symbol triggers the free spins round. You need to land three or more scatters anywhere on the reels to receive up to 100 spins at no cost. During the bonus, landing two or more scatter symbols can retrigger additional free spins.
Recap
The top payout of 300x may not sound like the most enticing jackpot a slot can offer, but Buffalo Blitz is a low-volatility game that delivers relatively small prizes frequently. This makes it a viable option for slot fans who want plenty of action on a budget.
