The 5 reels spin against a backdrop that displays the sails of a Viking longship. The game features eight regular symbols and high-value payouts are awarded for winning combinations that include the main Viking characters.
The Viking symbols can award between 20x and 250x your line bet. Each character has its own Rage Meter, which fills whenever it appears in a winning combination. The bigger the win, the faster the Rage Meter fills. A full Rage Meter awards 7 free spins with the respective Viking in Berzerk mode. Lower payouts are assigned to the coin symbols, which come in different colors.
Extra Features and Symbols of Interest
The shield bearing the word “wild” serves as the substitution symbol in Vikings Go Berzerk. It can replace any other icon, except the siren scatter, to create additional winning combinations. There are also two special treasure chest symbols that can appear only on the fourth and fifth reels.
The Free Spins feature is activated when three, four, or five siren scatters appear anywhere on the reels. Players can receive 7, 14, or 21 bonus spins depending on the number of triggering scatters. Additionally, they receive one of the following random bonuses for the duration of the free spins:
- All four Vikings turn Berzerk
- Sticky wilds appear in a random position on the reels
- Sticky wilds appear on any of the five reels at random
- 1 to 3 additional bonus spins
- Up to 5 additional treasure chests on the reels
All four characters can transform into sticky wilds during free spins by destroying the siren, which always happens when a Viking is in Berzerk mode. It is not possible to retrigger additional bonus rounds during the free spins feature.
The wooden chest that appears only on the fourth reel can multiply your line bet by 50x to 1,000x or award 7 to 21 free spins in the base game. It offers even bigger prizes when it appears during the bonus feature.
The golden treasure chest appears only on the fifth reel, awarding various prizes including 250 to 10,000 coins, a Rage Meter boost, a wild reel, two extra wilds, or the Ragnarök free spins.
