| Updated: Frankie Dettori’s Magic Seven Blackjack is a fast-paced, horse-racing-themed virtual blackjack game by Playtech. Inspired by one of the most popular jockeys of recent decades, this version of Twenty-One offers a jackpot payout of 7,777 times your bet.
The game is available at various Playtech-powered online casinos. Players who wish to try for the jackpot must place a side bet that unlocks a simple bonus game. During this feature, players collect trophies that appear randomly in blackjack hands.
Rules and Gameplay
This version of blackjack uses 6 standard decks, with the cards shuffled before every round. The dealer receives one face-up card and one face-down card and may peek for blackjack if the upcard is an Ace. In addition, the dealer must stand on all 17s. After the initial deal, players may hit, stand, or double on any two cards. If their initial hand is a pair, they can split it into two hands; however, re-splitting is not allowed.
When the dealer’s upcard is an Ace, players may purchase insurance for half of their original stake. Insurance works as a side bet. It wins only if the dealer has blackjack and pays 2:1. Overall, the main game in Playtech’s Frankie Dettori’s Magic Seven Blackjack is played like regular blackjack. This is also reflected in the payouts: blackjack pays 3:2, insurance pays 2:1, and a regular win against the dealer pays 1:1.
Distinctive Features
The most exciting aspect of Frankie Dettori’s Magic Seven Blackjack is the bonus game, which is activated by placing the Magic Seven side bet. This optional bet is the same size as the original stake. Once the bonus game begins, players collect trophies that appear randomly on some of the cards in the base game.
Rewards increase for players who collect more trophies in consecutive rounds. When no trophies appear in a deal, the bonus game ends, and players must start again. The rewards depend on the number of trophies collected: one trophy unlocks the bonus game, while two trophies result in a push.
- 3 Trophies in a Row: 1:1
- 4 Trophies in a Row: 7:1
- 5 Trophies in a Row: 14:1
- 6 Trophies in a Row: 24:1
- 7 Trophies in a Row: 70:1
- 7 Trophies in 2 Rounds: 7,777:1
Conclusion
Frankie Dettori’s Magic Seven Blackjack is an engaging version of blackjack. With its theoretical return of 99.58% and a jackpot payout of 7,777 times the stake, it may appeal to players looking to play blackjack for real money.
