| Updated: Lumber Jack is an adventure-themed slot that will appeal to casino enthusiasts. Released in October 2022 by Endorphina, it has several exciting bonus features designed to keep players entertained. The action takes place deep in the woods, where a handsome lumberjack works tirelessly. The game uses a standard 5×3 grid with 10 adjustable paylines.
Lumber Jack boasts an original theme and a detailed design. Its impressive visuals complement the setting, while the game’s meticulous details help bring the theme to life.
Lumber Jack Theme, Graphics, and Sounds
The main character in this slot is a lumberjack who has become “the greatest lumberjack of the lands” through hard work. The game is inspired by the story of two lumberjacks who are determined to win the Annual Lumberjack Competition. One lumberjack is older and more experienced, while the other is young, strong, and determined. Their task is to cut down as many trees as possible within eight hours.
The Lumber Jack slot is played on a wooden-framed grid set in a dense forest. The symbols depict tools used by lumberjacks. When you press the Spin button, you will hear the sound of an axe striking wood. The background music is dynamic and fits the game’s overall theme. When two scatters appear on the grid, the third and fourth reels are surrounded by flying sparks reminiscent of a chainsaw cutting through wood. Another notable detail is that the reels activate one after another.
Lumber Jack Symbols and Payouts
Lumber Jack offers 10 adjustable paylines and coin values ranging from 0.01 to 1 credit. Players must match three or four identical symbols on adjacent reels from left to right to receive a payout. An interesting aspect of the slot is that the fifth reel is dedicated to multipliers. Below, we discuss the maximum payouts associated with the different symbols when playing with a coin value of 0.01 and 10 active paylines.
If four truck symbols land on the grid, you will collect a payout of 20x your bet. The protective helmet also offers a maximum payout of 20x the stake. If four chain symbols land on a payline, you will collect a payout of 8x the stake. The circular saw and the axe both pay 6x the stake for four matching symbols.
The low-value symbols are represented by traditional playing card icons. Four Aces or Kings on a payline produce a payout of 4x the stake. The Queen, Jack, and 10 offer a maximum payout of 2x the bet for four matching symbols.
Lumber Jack features two special symbols: a wild and a scatter. The wild icon depicts a handsome lumberjack and can substitute for all symbols except the scatter and multipliers. The wild also pays 10x and 100x the stake for three and four matching symbols, respectively. The scatter, which depicts three pine trees, pays 5x and 25x the stake for three and four matching symbols, regardless of their positions on the reels.
Lumber Jack Bonus Mechanics
Lumber Jack includes several bonus features. As mentioned earlier, the fifth reel is occupied by multipliers that boost winning combinations on the same payline. During the base game, the multipliers that appear on the fifth reel are 2x, 3x, and 5x, with only one active at a time.
If three or more scatter symbols land on the reels, you will receive 12 free spins. During the free spins round, you can win multipliers of 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, and 20x, and all multipliers are unlocked. This means that winning combinations are multiplied on every winning payline. The background also changes when the free spins bonus round is active.
Endorphina has also incorporated a gamble feature that gives players the chance to increase their winnings by up to 10x. Players must select one of four face-down cards. If your card beats the dealer’s card, you will double your winnings. If your card has the same value as the dealer’s card, the result is a draw, and you will receive another attempt.
Your chances of winning depend on the dealer’s card, as each face-down card may be higher or lower in value. The Joker is the strongest card and beats all other cards, but the dealer cannot reveal a Joker.
The slot also allows players to buy their way into the free spins bonus round with unlocked multipliers. You can activate the Bonus Pop Buy feature at any time, and its cost depends on your total bet. Keep in mind that the availability of this feature depends on your country of residence. Players cannot use the gamble feature on winnings generated through the Bonus Pop Buy feature.
