| Updated: Dr Fortuno is a sophisticated slot by Yggdrasil that was released in April 2019. The theme of this atmospheric game revolves around a spooky carnival featuring the enigmatic magician Dr Fortuno. The slot offers plenty of excitement, including free spins, stacked wilds, bonus symbols, and a progressive jackpot.
Paytable and Payouts
Dr Fortuno utilizes 5 reels, 3 rows, and 20 fixed paylines. The expertly crafted symbols rotate within a reel frame designed to resemble a stage. The eerie background soundtrack further enhances the atmosphere of this Yggdrasil offering.
All three high-value symbols are stacked on the reels and depict otherworldly characters from Dr Fortuno’s freaky carnival. The two-headed lady known as the Night Twins pays 400x the payline bet for five of a kind. She is followed by the scary clown, Fire Head, who returns 250x the line bet as a top prize. Landing five symbols featuring the greenish Water Witch awards 200x the line stake.
The low-value icons consist of glass vessels containing various body parts. Their payouts range from 6x to 100x the line stake. The 20 fixed paylines award winning combinations from left to right for a minimum of three identical symbols.
Extra Features and Symbols of Interest
Dr Fortuno comes with several compelling bonus features. The symbol depicting the eponymous magician is wild and appears stacked on the reels. The Wheel of Fortuno feature is activated by a winning combination containing a wild symbol.
The Fortuno wild can also nudge to fill the reels if doing so completes a winning combination. Players then spin the wheel one or more times, depending on how many wilds contributed to the triggering combination. This feature can award a variety of prizes, including 20 or 100 coins, two additional wheel spins, a 5x multiplier on the initial win, and the progressive jackpot itself.
Players unlock 10 free spins by landing at least three hat symbols during the same spin. The more triggering symbols that land, the more extra features players receive for the duration of the bonus rounds.
Players can earn a maximum of three features by landing five bonus symbols in a single spin. These include additional Fortuno wilds, 2x multipliers, 5 to 10 extra free spins, the removal of low-value symbols from the reels, paylines that pay both ways, and wild high-value symbols.
