| Updated: Streamed from a Macau-style casino studio in Riga, Latvia, Baccarat Control Squeeze is a visually stunning and highly entertaining live dealer version of baccarat created by Evolution Gaming. The game is based on the standard rules of baccarat, but with a fun twist: players can control the “squeezing” of the cards through sophisticated technology.
Like all tables in Evolution Gaming’s lobby, Baccarat Control Squeeze features a beautifully designed setting and is hosted by elegant, professionally trained dealers. Players can switch between the classic and multi-camera views and set the video quality to high definition, medium, or low.
Rules and Gameplay
The game follows the standard rules of classic baccarat and, in this respect, is no different from most versions offered by Evolution Gaming. To win, players must predict which hand, the Player or the Banker, will have the higher value or whether the two hands will tie. Player and Banker bets pay even money, with a 5% commission on Banker winnings, while a winning Tie bet pays 8:1.
In addition to the main bets, the game offers two optional side bets that can be placed alongside Player, Banker, or Tie wagers. These are Player Pair and Banker Pair, and they win if the first two cards in the respective hand have the same value. A winning Pair side bet pays 11:1.
Distinctive Features
Evolution Gaming’s Baccarat Control Squeeze is a classic version of baccarat, at least in terms of its rules, bet types, and payouts. What sets it apart, however, is the Squeeze feature, which is particularly popular with Asian players. In this variant, players receive face-down cards and control the squeeze themselves. The cards are dealt onto special glass panels with multiple cameras underneath.
Once the initial four cards are on the table, players see a virtual overlay of the panels and can “peel” the masked cards to reveal their values. If a third card is required, it is dealt after the peeling is complete. This feature does not influence the outcome of the game in any way, but many baccarat fans may find it exciting.
Conclusion
Overall, Baccarat Control Squeeze is an entertaining live version of baccarat, and its Control Squeeze feature will likely appeal to many fans of this classic casino game.
